We will pick you up from the Kodiak Airport and return you to the airport and will run your errands in town if need be before and after the trip. All meals and bedding provided. 6day, 7-night hunt. September – December.

I have been hunting and fishing with Capt. Aaron and his crew for quite a few years. Kodiak Island for a week in the fall is tough to beat. Aarons knowledge of the area and top notch service make for such a fun time. My group of friends and I look forward to our trip every year.

Gulf Coast Hunting in Alaska - Coastal Black Bear Combo

5 days and 6 nights hunting adventure package! Late April – May

Our Black Bear hunts begin in the Homer Alaska Boat Harbor. You will fly to Anchorage and rent a vehicle and enjoy the beautiful drive to Homer!

Lodging provided on the night before your trip aboard the boat in the Marina. We will depart for the hunting grounds early in the morning and start glassing the coast line a couple hours out and glass for bears the rest of the day and probably stop to fish a bit!

When you see the bear you are interested in we take and drop you on shore. You are only allowed one bear. If you want to hunt off the beaches we can accommodate that as well. Fishing is a big part of the trip if you so choose.

5-day 6-night hunt.

Late April – May

Weather can play a factor in your hunt in Alaska whether it be flight delays departure and return delays or if we have to cut a trip a little short. There is also a satellite phone on the boat for emergency calls.

Gulf Coast hunting expeditions include watermaking ability, washer and dryer, restroom, and a shower. There are 11 bunks in the forepeak with room for everyone and their gear. An onboard freezer gives you room for capes, hides as well as ducks and fish. All meals are provided.

The “BEAR” can take 36 passengers at a time. 6 hunters have plenty of space!

This is a 5 day journey of amazing Alaskan adventure hosted by a life-long Alaskan captain and crew with the skills and experience it takes to provide an unforgettable journey.

For my first trip to Alaska I chose to do a vessel based black bear hunt. My trip with Captain Aaron Mahoney was undoubtedly one of my best outdoor adventures. Alaska is an outdoorsman's paradise and Captain Aaron has everything dialed in. From the accommodations on the boat to the meals served everything was seamless. The hunting and fishing were top notch. I was very impressed with Captain Aaron and his willingness to find fish and bears. It was evident that Captain Aaron's goal was not only for everyone to be successful but also to keep everyone safe. At no time during the trip did I feel safety was a concern. Captain Aaron was very professional but also approachable. I would highly recommend booking any adventure with Captain Aaron.
